update

so not much has been going on. justin had 2 great sermons on sun, i should have them up soon. ive got finals soon so pray for me as i take them. it is hard to imagin, but i will be married to the greatest woman by the time i take finals again. last night kadee and i booked our flight and cruse for our honeymoon. it was really fun, i think its down to 5 months 17 days till the big day, and i cant wait. the 5k is in a little less then a month, kadee, sis, and i are going to do it. it should be fun, i think her parents are going to come and cheer us on. other than that nothing to big has happend. life has been good, God has been more than cool to me so thats it for now. see ya

Carl has made us a boxing website. it is over in ministry links or you can click here to get it. hope you all have had a great week. kadee and i did. we got to spend sat with our parents up in clare. we went to a dinner for a friend of theirs who has cancer. thank God he became a christian this last week. yea for God!!! we also got to see a nother side of our dad. we wanted a cool UofM golf set, and he got it in big fashion. it was very cool, i think it was our wedding gift thou. so kadee and i are very happy anf thankful for all the stuff that came with it.(thanks dad your the best) mom beaver onthe other hand shot us down on everything. well i hope you all have two sets of the coolest parents like kadee and i, see ya later

we have a winner!!!!!!!

with a great showing from the Tennessee Lady Vols last night, they became the best in womens basketball. this year was filled with great games and stats. So never the less ive had Rocky Top as loud as i can play it in my office. well as you can see, im a little happy for the Vols. well thats it for now. see you all later.

well today is game day. i think tipoff is at 921 pm or so. i hope if all goes well, my Lady Vols should be champs. other than that life is good, kadee is doing well, the wedding is still going well also. school is ok, and well youth is going well also. hope to see you all in church soon. see ay for now.

how are you cheating God

so do you want a million dollars? if your like me, then heck ya why not. do you want to go to the middle east, turkey, russia and share the gospel. why yes i would love to, we are told in the Bible to"GO" so i think i should, BUT...... why is there always a huge but when it comes to God? well matt the trip would cost so much, and i dont think i could get off work, and i have to wash my hair!!!! so then if God gave you a million dollars and retirment you could go, right? one of the lessons i learned this weekend was that God will grant your prayers, in his time and in his will. why would he give you a million dollars knowing that you would never give 100,000 of it back to the church. well yes i would, i would have the million dollars. well what about after the gov. takes their share, then you will want to get out of debt,(pay off house for the kids, cars loans, ect.) then hey go buy your self something nice, and now your left with your same 50,000 dollar a year job. well now comes the delema, if you were like me, God didnt get his ten % when i was poor, so why would he give me more to waist. the same with "GOING" why do you feel you would be the greatest sharer overseas when you wont go down the street!!!! How is it that witnessing is only done in russia, iraq...... do you think that youre going to be any different? you might, God may use the expreance to pull you out of your shell and share. but then what, why do we have the same 60 people in the same spot every sun, and why are they nea sayers? why shoot down the members going and doing, when you are just being a hears(james1:22) lets at least encourage those doing to keep it up. please for the love of God, dont be a lukerm christian(rev3:16) dont do more work for the devil as a christian than for God. his Grace is worth so much more then that. see ya

well my Mighty Tennessee Vols fell last night in what i can say was one of the best games this far. So i will have to wait untill next year for Tenn dude basketball, but at least they fell to a Big Ten team. Now ill see Sun at 1204 how the Lady Vols do and if they continue in to the elight 8. Go Coach Pat. My kids and i are off at 4 To Disciple Now at Hillsdale Baptist. ill be speaking at like 8 tonight so pray for me and Pastor Josh as we bring God's word to the youth this weekend. now im off to Pizza Hut for all you can eat with Justin and the Headleys. oh yea we found a food lady for our wedding. she is great, the food was well, my pants wont fit after if that tells you anything. she is also Hispanic so big plus there. other than that, life is great. i have one of the best support nets around. I have great Godly friends, family and , of course a smoken hot Godly Fiance!!! later gaters

wow what a great game sun, and the best part Tennessee is into the sweet 16!!!!! yea Jill (NAMB)and I are sure happy. so sitting in church i was slaped in the face. man i was all into justins seromen on "loving are stuff" when the onliner of the year was dropped. as christians if we dont come to church expecting to be changed in the preacence of God, and would rather come to look good with our arms crossed looking at our watches, why do we even bother coming. OH SNAP!!!! what a line to get our attention. then that night another one. why under prayGod? he said if we only pray those little things and use our .0003 faith on the rikter scale no wounder we have nothing. man have i been way under cutting God in my prayer life, so ilke our Pastor im going to pray for us to beable to by the DRUG MALL next door and make it our new STUDENT CENTER. BOTH UPSTAIRS AND DOWN STAIRS!!!!! why not the Bible teaches that we have not because we ask not. So God show us how big you are and if its in your will provide us with the means to rid the Drug dealers out of are area for your glory! why is it so hard to ask him for more space? we've almost out grown are space with NEW ministries, so lets use the property he gave us and build new areas to do his work.just remember that God will always be bigger than what you can imagin. so try him, you might be shocked what he will do.

well MSU is winning so far in round 1 of the NCAA Turnie. not much has been going on, Kadee bought her Wedding dress. from what little she will tell me about it, i look forward to seeing her on the day of our wedding. things . are still progressing well with Oct. 13, i will meet kadee's parents next thurs to meet the group doing all of our food. hope that goes well, because we then wont have that many big things left to do. the hall kadee and i went t0 go see is well perfect. it will do everything we want it to do, with plenty of room for everyone. i guess from what everyone else told me i didnt think i would have as much fun planning it out with kadee, but i so am. well thats it for now, see ya later

im happy

so why are you happy matt, you may ask. well as i sit in my office doing work, im hearing Chris Tomlin in the background. "You and i are made to worship, you and i are called to love, you and i are forgiven and free." We are why wouldnt i be happy, we have a God whom loves us so much he would make a way for us to be with him. In the back of our church we have a huge banner, it says something really cool on it.(if your staff here you should know it) it says Created for Worship; Commissioned for Ministry. How more direct of a slogan could you want, we are here to worship God. we do that by salvation, giving, singing, serving, and going, our life as a whole should be lived in such a way that in all we do we worship God. This week I got another SLAP in the face by God. it came to me from the book of James(go figure i know)1:22 it says," to be doers of the word not just hears." For the longest time ive wanted nothing more than to have a guitar and drum set to play in worship. Justin and i for Years prayed for it. so praise God when the cobbs moved and joined our church family.Matt is one of the most God gifted worship leaders i know. then out of no where, Kadee And Here Family(not the church) gave us the money to go and buy a drum set. Wow could God be ANY MORE clear on what he wanted out of us. this was like 2or 3 months ago and worship has been great, its brought us to another level in our praise to God, but i wasnt having the fun or worship i thought i would. then about 3 weeks ago i found out why; ill first off say that when God tells you something please listen. He is bigger than you and WILL win, three times he asked me why i wasnt worshiping him with the drums He provided. you know what my response was, to the God who died for me, who has given me almost anything I've asked for, because half the church was upset because it is loud and not right to have this stuff in church. sounds dumb i know ill be the first to admit i have been sinning against God to make others happy. For that i ask for forgiveness, and can proudly say that after 3 weeks of God telling me to be a doer, that this sunday morn and night i played the crap out of the drums for one person only. it was the first time iv ever played for God and i dont care how many people dont like it, their not God. i worship for him and him alone. other than my attitude in worship changing life has been great. Kadee and i to the shock of everyone who knows us have done more in 5 days of engagement for our wedding then most do in like 3-4 months. well i guess as the title of the post says, I am Happy. Are YOU?

hello everyone, im back from my month long......whatever it was called. sorry i havent writen anything im a bad person. oh yea sorry for all the grammer and mechanical mistakes, i just type whatever im thinking and publish it. if it is really a prob send me an e-mail and ill change my style of communication. so the youth center has been good.(sorry for the disclamer, im going to put a link up to my myspace page. i have A LOT of not children of God as my friends. I keep my page clean, but can not say that for my friends. i think it is good to have non christian friends, Jesus did so will i. i make no appologies for the conduct of my friends. i love them all, SAVED OR NOT. if it buggs you dont clik on any of the links!!!!) ok youth center has been great, our kids decided to make a southside saints myspace. its a cool way to keep all the students informed and to get oics of what the students do here at IBC. they thought it would be a new way for their friends that dont come to see us, so i said OK. my page is up also.(see above befor veiwing)church site for info) that is cool also. we had two new people come and join us tonight that dont go to our church, and thats the goal. Now time for my favorit person, kadee has been well. she had a little prob with her contacts so pray for her. she also got a new job, and i get to see her almost every sun(yea for me) the beavers are doing well, i hope the burner is still alive. well thats it for now ill see you later.

fri night

well another youth center down. for those who dont know what that is; its a new ministry to get kids off the streets of south lansing, and in church. We have been doing it sence nov, and its been growing. Ive had the pleasure to meet 14 new students. we run from 7ish till 11ish every fri night. something you can pray with me about, is for God to provide me with a Youth intern. as is the same with almost every church on earth, workers are few and far between. life has been good, we had a huge house fire 2 days ago but other than that its been slow, but is that a bad thing? We started a new prayer time once a month that is staff lead. our goal is to unite the church by prayer, and us as the staff or leaders our going to set the example. the first one went great. we all prayed for our induvidual areas then opend it to anyone else, wow it was a great night. Worship has been the bomb!!!!!!! its so nice being able to play the drums, my only hurdle is that Matt wants me to play on sun morn. not a big deal, but im so freaked out by change sometimes that its sad, and playing on sun morn is one of those things that worries me. i dont know why but pray for me. oh yea we also have a new church website its great, jill did a wow words cant discribe how well she did on it. umm classes start soon, i have 14 credits the time yea something like that. oh were doing a FREE boxing class. it starts Jan 9th at 7pm at the church. what else, a new thing ill be putting up is a wed night thought for all my youth. every wed night ill recap the weeks bible study and some thought and application, along with prayer updates. you can also get them at my myspace page. i should also have my first podcasted sermon online for everyone. were going to put sun morn and night online. ill have that link up soon. thats it i think, if you have any?s or comments as to what you would like to see on my wed night update let me know. later gaters
